“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

The Journey Thus Far
While at Emory, I took the Advanced EMT course and volunteered as an AEMT for two years, working as a supervisor, training officer, and chairing the community outreach committee.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Emory University in 2014. I double-majored in Biology and Anthropology/Human Biology, and during those 4 years, my interests in public health and education began.
After taking a gap year, I returned to the classroom in 2015 and began my MD and MPH coursework at UT Health Science Center San Antonio and UT School of Public Health.
Throughout medical school, I managed and developed our peer advising program, Veritas. Curious about the program? Read more about it here.
I was honored to be hooded by mentors and professors who had encouraged and guided me over the years, including the amazing physician on the left who influenced my passion for public health.
Another commencement with an additional two degrees. With the support of my family, especially my parents, I graduated with my MD and MPH in May 2019.
